Steve's arms are falling off. And it hasn't much to do with moving the 300lb tub. That happened earlier in the day with a crew of four (uh five?), and I almost missed photographing it since it happened so quickly and with so little fuss. Still, it was the most photogenic event of the day. That and the kids using the 'bed' as a pirate ship.
The really hard work was moving all the drywall and plywood upstairs. (Thanks Rory!) It was definitely a good choice not to have me be the other party for that task! And apparently pulling wire in a tight space through a really long PVC conduit with three bends in it really tasks your triceps.
Other events included Carlos wiring up the panel so we can finally have more than ONE breaker for the ENTIRE UPSTAIRS, as well as having real power in the shed, not just an exposed extension cord running across the lawn. The tub also made it all the way out to the Tub Doctor for a well deserved refinishing - first time in 93 years!!
If we learned anything today it was that BEER is both very nice and very necessary - for ourselves and our volunteers! Anyone? Anyone?
